I am a researcher and food system consultant. I am results-driven, innovative wholes-systems thinker, and thrive in situations where I am able to work with colleagues from a diversity of social and professional backgrounds. I have over ten years of experience in project management, including program evaluation, stakeholder engagement, strategic planning, quantitative and qualitative research design and implementation using tools like SPSS, Excel, Access, NVivo, IMPLAN, UCINET, and ArcGIS.

I specialize in utilizing a mixed method approach to study supply chains and all things food system related. My current work analyzes the economic, environmental, and social linkages between rural and urban communities through regionalized entrepreneurial food and agricultural activities. Previous research investigated the historical development of the produce supply chain in California. I have a M.S. in Community Development from the University of California, Davis and a Ph.D. in Geography from the University of California, Davis.
